I have been looking at painters a lot more recently while on the vague grad school search, and while on a vacation between jobs during which i have lots of time to paint. also, uncg hosted a painting conference this weekend which made me miss being in the academic setting, though some of the conversations were frustrating/made my my head spin/were not interesting. i am always trying to situate myself in terms of an art historical map or timeline. anyway, i currently dig manuel ocampo.
